ABOUT ME
Dr. Kevin Yang, MD, CCFP, is a Canada and US board certified family physician with focused training and clinical experience in musculoskeletal and sports-related conditions. He completed his family medicine residency training in the United States and now practices in Canada. His clinical work centers on the non-surgical management of joint pain, tendon injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal problems, with an emphasis on helping patients return to function safely and sustainably.
Dr. Yang uses point-of-care musculoskeletal ultrasound to better identify the source of pain and to guide precise, minimally invasive treatments when appropriate. He takes a practical, evidence-based approach—prioritizing accurate diagnosis, thoughtful treatment selection, and realistic recovery plans rather than quick fixes or unnecessary procedures.
Common conditions he treats include knee osteoarthritis, shoulder and rotator cuff disorders, tendinopathies, overuse injuries, and work-related musculoskeletal pain. Treatment options may include ultrasound-guided injections such as corticosteroids, hyaluronic acid, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP), along with structured rehabilitation and activity modification.
Healing from Within. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an advanced regenerative treatment that uses your body’s own natural healing factors to repair injured joints, tendons, and ligaments.
How it works: We take a small sample of your blood and use a specialized centrifuge to concentrate the platelets—the "repair cells" of your bloodstream. Under precise ultrasound guidance, we inject this concentrated plasma directly into the site of injury. This "bio-boost" signals your body to restart the healing process in areas of chronic wear or acute tears.
